Review

Virtual Serial Ports Emulator 0.8 is a software that creates RS232 or RS422 compatible serial ports.
This great software helps developers and engineers to test, debug and create applications that use serial ports without real hardware installed. It provides binary data exchange between devices or applications. With this program you can share physical serial port data for several applications. You can create several virtual serial ports with different purposes and even one single serial port can be use for several applications also.
The program creates virtual devices with different capabilities. Device types Connector, pair and Splitter creates new serial ports with different features. Device types TcpServer, TcpClient, Serial Redirector and UDP manager don’t create serial ports; they are focuses to the transmission/reception of data.
The installation process is very easy to perform. The program includes good documentation that guides you through the application. Virtual Serial Ports Emulator works on Windows 2000, XP and Vista.
Advantages
  • Virtual Serial Ports Emulator provides a good option to create serial ports since serial ports are not used widely anymore. It creates a lot of virtual serial ports working simultaneously.
Disadvantages
  • VSPE not supported Windows Vista 64 for the moment.
